About 23,000 people have died from a 7.8 magnitude earthquake on the Turkey-Syria border. Thousands of rescue workers are scrambling to pull people out from the debris. The Islamic Center of North Detroit or Masjid Al-Falah is hosting a vaccine clinic. The vaccine flu is Saturday, February 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. People who have any questions can contact Saiful Islam.
Wayne State University School of Medicine to host ‘Future Docs’ day
The Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Future Docs program returns after two years. The day-long program introduces 6-12 year-olds to the world of medicine. Adults have to accompany children at the event. The program will have 16 hands-on STEM activities. The last day to register is March 3. Recipe: Avocado Cilantro Mint Chutney
This week as I was doing my grocery run, I found a pack of Panjabi halal samosas. Of course, I needed a good chutney to go with it. I also had a few avocados I needed to use. I stumbled upon this recipe shared by a friend and I knew I had to try it. It’s a creamy avocado cilantro mint chutney that takes great with samosas. It also can be used as a sandwich spread.
