An entrepreneur launches an online business to provide professional bridal henna services
Fariha Ahmed began her journey as a henna artist while applying it to a classmate’s hand at the playground. That later pivoted her to gaining her first business clients - her former principal and teacher. She launched her professional henna services on Instagram at @farihennart in 2016. Now she’s serving customers in New York, New Jersey, and Michigan.
Henna is an age-old tradition that began in Egypt and became popular across African, Middle East, and South Asian communities. It’s applied for special occasions such as Eid, during pre-wedding ceremonies and festivities.
