Muslim, Jewish groups provide food, counseling and space
It’s been a week since the MSU mass shooting, which left three dead and five hospitalized. Faith-based communities have sought ways to create safe spaces for MSU students and faculty.
This week MSU Hillel, the Jewish Student Center, and the Islamic Center of East Lansing provided healing circles, meals and counseling services for students and faculty. It’s one way for people to come together during tragedy to cope and heal.

A Muslim organization comes together to create a space for women entrepreneurs. Organizer Khalipha Kane, the owner of Khalipha’s Mobile Kitchen, says it’s one way women can learn and support one another without compromising their faith.
