Embassy of Bangladesh returns to Michigan

Mobile consular services August 19-22 in Hamtramck

The Embassy of Bangladesh is providing mobile consular services in Hamtramck next week. The embassy has an updated e-passport system. They will process No Visa Requirements (NVR’s), passport renewals, birth certificates and power of attorney applications.

Mohanager Awami League President Abdus Shaker Khan (Makhon) says people should request an appointment for passport renewals and birth certificates.

The mobile consular services will be held at Amin Realty Hamtramck, 3141 Caniff St., Hamtramck, MI on August 19-22 from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Community leaders hope to bring a permanent consulate office to Michigan. Khan says they have recently submitted an application to request a permanent consulate office in Michigan. Without a permanent office in Michigan, people have to go to the consulate offices in Washington D.C. or New York. `
